The McKenney’s team installed plumbing and HVAC systems for a new 10-story, mixed-use office and retail tower at a high-profile destination in Atlanta, Georgia.

THE CHALLENGE

The McKenney’s team needed to coordinate logistics for the 250,000-square-foot project, which was located in an area where other major nearby construction projects were underway. In addition, completion of all base building installations had to coincide with the opening of a major sports complex next door—with restaurant and hospitality spaces expected to service patrons on game and non-game days.

THE SOLUTION

The McKenney’s team used its design/build delivery method, allowing construction activities to occur in concert with building design. The team was able to start the work prior to the adjacent hotel and residential building construction projects, enlisting the team’s unique site logistics control and material handling skills while maintaining price and quality expectations throughout the project.

THE RESULTS

The base building was completed ahead of schedule, allowing tenants to open in time for the debut of the new sports complex.
